  • My Day Off…

Well, I had myself the very first entire day off of school yesterday!! Ben and another school board member took the older kids from school to an ACE Convention, so the younger grades had the day off. Because I’m not teaching next year, I decided just to take the day off to be at home. *happy sigh* I didn’t realize just how much I missed it until I had it again!

An entire day just to be at home,
    - no agenda
    - no deadlines
    - no great responsibilities beyond washing sheets and emptying the dishwasher

I even made a cranberry jello salad and pineapple zucchini bread – just for fun! Because I actually had time to do something beyond just the urgent.

I almost didn’t know what to do with myself all day… :) I went to the library and greatly enjoyed the DSL connection, it’s been so long since I was on anything but a dial-up, I almost forgot there are computers that really are fast! :)

And the best part of it all was that I woke up this morning feeling rested and refreshed… I can’t remember the last time I woke up feeling like that.

So today, I am ever so grateful to the Lord for my one day off!! I’m afraid I’m feeling just a tad bit spoiled now…

*and here’s a toast to many more in the coming months!*

  • yippee…I guess I will be the first to comment on your new post. I was sitting here smiling to myself and wondering if your baby is as busy as mine. Yikes! No, caffine today so I’m not sure what is up with all the wiggles. I can imgaine that it might be getting a little cramped in there. Poor thing. Miss you like always!

listening to michael buble and feeling very meloncholy indeed and missing my sister…

  • hey – i’ve thought about you, wondered how everything is going for you – you are a brave woman to move AND be pregnant at the same time! Being pregnant has always been lifechanging for me – speaking of which, we are now working on #3 due oct.13! Hope everything goes well for you – Shannon

well dear, looks like you could use another comment, (these 4 have been sitting here a looong time!:) but it’s just better talking in person…especially when you have early plane landings/ lay-overs & all that good stuff called spare moments! :)  i miss you sooooo much, it’s ridiculous. *sniff* won’t even start…it’s a cryin’ shame to be seperated by so many southern/redneck/fightin’ terrorism/yankee doodle/cotton-pickin’ looooong miles, it’s unbelievable!!! (and tragic)

ya’ll come back now, ya hear??? wish i could hear your skillful, lovely, wonderful heart play piano at da wedding…*sniff again* proud of you & lovin’ you past those miles!! :)
